What is a UK Charity Worker Visa?

This visa allows you to:

  • Do unpaid voluntary work
  • Work with a UK registered charity
  • Stay in the UK for up to 12 months

👉 This visa is only for volunteer work (no salary allowed)


Basic Requirements

To apply, you must:

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Have a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) from a UK charity
  • Have at least £1,270 in your bank account
  • Plan to do genuine unpaid work

Documents You Need
  • Valid passport
  • Certificate of Sponsorship number
  • Bank statement (proof of funds)
  • TB test (if required)

How to Apply (Step-by-Step)

Here is the simple process based on the official UK government:

Step 1: Get a Sponsor

You must first get accepted by a UK charity. They will give you a Certificate of Sponsorship.


Step 2: Apply Online

You must apply online through the UK Government website.
